Life List – Living With Intention

Goals, whether they are insane, serious, terrifying, or ambitious, give focus. They allow me to live with intention and to turn every day into a revolution. I also have this list on a Post-It note on my laptop, but posting it here makes me more accountable. The aim is not to make this a static list – goals change just as people do. The aim is to explore the world and in turn, explore myself.

  1. Live in San Francisco.
  2. Bike across the Golden Gate Bridge.
  3. Spend New Year’s in NYC.
  4. Get a another tattoo.
  5. Run a half-marathon.
  6. Stay in a hostel.
  7. Become scuba-certified.
  8. Eat a croissant in Paris.
  9. Spend New Year’s in Goa.
  10. Meet Johnny Depp.
  11. Visit at least one new country this year.
  12. Participate in the Tomatina festival.
  13. Go to Burning Man.
  14. Pay off my student loans completely.
  15. Eat tapas in Spain.
  16. Skinny dip.
  17. Learn how to pitch a tent.
  18. Camp at Catalina Islands.
  19. Live in Europe.
  20. Eat ramen in Japan.
  21. Go to SXSW.
  22. Ride in a hot-air balloon.
  23. See the Northern Lights.
  24. Write a letter of recommendation for someone.
  25. Have something published.
  26. Go wine tasting in Napa.
  27. Grow my own food.
  28. Travel alone.
  29. Visit Portland.
  30. Be emotionally happy.
  31. Do a pull-up…maybe two.
  32. Be part of a viral video.
  33. Sky-dive.
  34. Bungee-jump.
  35. Swim with sharks.
  36. Do a sprint trialathon.
  37. Picnic in the park.
  38. Dance at Carnival.
  39. Eat at French Laundry.
  40. Own a dog.
  41. Visit Machu Picchu.
  42. Spend Mardi Gras in New Orleans.
  43. Watch one of the Beatles perform.

  3. I have a list of 100 things to do before I die too! Have you read that book in our living room? Might give you more ideas.

    Also, you’ve neve been wine tasting in Napa!? That needs to be corrected, immediately. I’m going on the 28th and you’re coming with!
